Boarding
Welcome to Valley Inn for Pets. Our facilities are conveniently located close to both Northampton and Amherst on Route 9 in Hadley Massachusetts. Our mission is to offer your pets a clean, comfortable, safe and enjoyable boarding experience. From our experienced and loving staff, to our newly constructed facility, all of our efforts are designed to help us accomplish this goal. You can rest assured knowing that while staying at the Inn your pet will be under continual veterinary supervision by a staff dedicated to your pets health and well being.
We look forward to caring for your pets and will do our best to provide "all the love and comfort of home" while you are away.

You may drop off or pick up your pet anytime during our regular hours of operation:
Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm
Friday 8am-6pm
Saturday 8am-4pm
Sunday 10am-4pm
Please note, dropping off and picking up pets from the Inn is permitted only during these regular business hours.
In order to allow our staff time to enjoy the holidays, the kennel is closed to the public on New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
We accept cash personal checks, money orders and traveler's checks as well as VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
In order to establish a credit history with us, we require all first time boarders who are not regular Valley Veterinary clients to pre-pay in full at the beginning of their pets' stay. All regular and repeat clients can pay for lodging services at pet pick-up.

Accommodations
Our Inn has three types of accommodations for dogs:

All of our indoor-outdoor runs and campsites are equipped with luxurious Kuranda Cots and bedding for your pet's lounging pleasure. Our cages are plastic laminate, custom designed to be warm, quiet, and comfortable. All caged dogs are hand walked at least twice daily into large 12" x 5" private playpens for at least 2 hours of fresh air and exercise. All facilities and bedding are cleaned and disinfected daily. Rest assured that we will make every effort to provide the largest and most comfortable accommodation for your pet that space allows. We are proud of the comfort level and cleanliness of all of our facilities and thank you for your understanding in this matter. |

Cats are housed in Lucite-faced condominiums overlooking our lobby. These units
can be custom configured for your kitty's particular needs to allow for plenty
of climbing and jumping. All litter boxes and condos are thoroughly cleaned and
disinfected daily.
"Basic care": Our economy rate includes everything necessary to provide for your pets comfort and health during their stay. This includes your choice of once or twice daily feeding with our kennel supplied food, Eukanuba, or your own food. Basis Care dogs also enjoy three exercise periods each day in our large play yards or covered and separate outdoor runs and an evening “cuddle and biscuit” before bed. Cats enjoy a morning stretch period while their condo is completely cleaned and disinfected. All pets are regularly checked and under continuous veterinary directed supervision by our kennel technicians from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
"VIP": Our VIP premium package provides extra attention and activity sure to send your Very Important Pet home feeling fit and happy. In addition to all of the Basic Care amenities, VIP dogs enjoy an extended daytime play session with one of our enthusiastic and loving “Play Pals”. At bedtime, VIP dogs rest well after an additional evening playtime followed by a special gourmet “cuddle and snuggle” with their choice of flavor of gourmet homemade Sundog Bakery treats! For cats, VIP stays include an additional 20-minute playtime session in and around the condo area. Activities for cats include climbing on the floor to ceiling scratch post, chasing “mice” around the room, or just relaxing on a perch and watching the world go by! We recommend our VIP Care for all animals with extra energy to burn. CANINE VIP STAYS OF 5 DAYS OR MORE ARE ALSO ENTITLED TO A FREE PRE-DEPARTURE BATH!

Depending on how much leg room you feel your cat(s) needs, you may reserve anywhere from 1-4 of the interconnecting condos for your cats' roaming pleasure!

Veterinary Services: Full range of services provided as needed.
We feed IAMs/Eukanuba pet foods to all of our guests. Some pets, however, are fussy eaters or do not handle sudden changes in their diet well. To avoid these types of problems, you may wish to pack some of your pet's regular food. Please bring only the amount of food necessary for the length of your pet's stay.
For the health and safety of all our guests, all pets entering the kennel must have been examined by a veterinarian, have had a negative stool sample within the previous 12 months, and be up to date with the following vaccines:
Please be sure to bring written proof of all of these vaccines with you or have your regular veterinarian fax this information to us. Our fax # is (413) 586-5679. If your pet is overdue, we can provide vaccinations together with a physical exam by a staff veterinarian. If Bordatella alone is needed, this can be administered by our kennel staff without a physical exam.
We take pride in the cleanliness and safety of our facility. Therefore, all pets will be checked for fleas on admission to the Inn. Flea infested animals will be treated at the owner's expense!
In order to help us avoid misplaced belongings, we ask that you limit toys to two per pet. Be sure that they are machine washable and are clearly labeled with your pets name in indelible ink. With all the extra attention we provide at the Inn, this is usually sufficient to keep your pets feeling at home. Since we provide Kuranda Cots and plenty of sheepskin bedding, we also request that you do not bring your own blankets and beds with you when you come. This policy is designed to insure your pets bedding is comfortable, easily laundered, and can be kept sanitary for the entire length of their stay. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Please plan to keep your pets collar and leash at drop-off. If you are not picking up your pet, a kennel leash will be provided at no charge.

We do not require deposits to hold reservations. In fairness to those who may be turned away on busy weekends or holidays we ask that you please let us know if your plans for boarding your pet should change.
