Position Details

  • Role: Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician
  • Status: Full-Time
  • Salary: $16 - $20/hour
  • Schedule: Flexible full-time scheduling; no holiday shifts or on-call responsibilities

Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

  • Obtain detailed patient histories and maintain accurate medical records
  • Support wellness care and vaccine protocols
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and sample processing
  • Assist with digital radiography and diagnostic procedures
  • Provide patient nursing care and monitor patient comfort
  • Educate clients on preventive care, treatments, and recommendations
  • Utilize proper animal handling and restraint techniques
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
  • Assist with treatments, procedures, and daily hospital operations
  • Support a positive experience for patients, clients, and team members

What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring

  • Previous Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician experience preferred
  • Strong animal handling and restraint skills
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and assistants
  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Interest in learning and expanding technical skills
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and venipuncture is a plus but not required
  • Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
